Tucked into the slopes of Naabi Hill, Serengeti Woodlands mobile camp is one of the most exquisite mobile safari camps. Close to Lake Ndutu, Moru Kopjes and Hidden Valley the area is lush with vegetation yet views from each of the tents are incredible.
This seasonal mobile camp is operational between December and March of each year to witness the arrival of massive herds of Wildebeest from the North. By February the females have dropped hundreds of thousands of new calves and the sound is incredible to hear. With new life and easy prey the predators are always close to hand and kills are a daily event.
The main guest area is a spacious Meru style tent and with the flaps open most of the day is one long drawn out wildlife spectacle. As a mobile camp there are no fences and Wildebeest, Zebra and Thompson’s Gazelle are usually within touching distance.
Luxury Tents
Woodlands Camp has 12 luxury safari tents as well as one family tent to accommodate children. Each tent has a small seating area at the entrance with canvas chairs and on entering the tent there is a writing table as well as 2 small sofa’s and a coffee table.
The tents are very spacious with plenty of room for luggage and all can be made up into either a double or twin bed configuration. Views from all the tents are absolutely magnificent. Despite this being a tented experience the amenities are of excellent quality.
The en-suite bathrooms are equally spacious with metal framed wardrobe, toilet, vanity basin and a shower cubicle.
