Ulusaba Safari Lodge is a chic and elegant safari lodge perched high up on a rocky granite outcrop in the Sabi Sands private game reserve. Located in the Greater Kruger National Park the lodge is close to a waterhole that is frequented by a variety of big game day and night.
With just 11 elevated rooms, views over the surrounding bush are incredible and stretch far out to the horizon. A swimming pool, gym, tennis courts and spa make this the ideal safari lodge for guests looking for a superior safari experience in South Africa.
The main guest area has both indoor and outside dining facilities that also boast magnificent views out over the landscapes.The “boma” has a central fire pit and is the perfect location for dinner under the African stars.
Activities at Ulusaba Safari Lodge include both morning and afternoon game drives with professional guides and trackers. The area has recorded more than 140 mammal species that includes the Big 5 and birding here is also excellent. Visits to the local community villages can be arranged on request.
Accommodation
The suites at Ulusaba are made up of 11 treehouse styled rooms that are linked to the main guest area by wooden walkways and rope bridges. Each suite is very spacious with twin or king size beds, walk in mosquito nets and stunning en-suite bathrooms.
A private deck graces the front of each suite with views over the bush or river and some of the rooms have their own private plunge pool. All the rooms have a complimentary mini-bar, air conditioning and ceiling fans for the warmer parts of the day or humid nights.
For couples looking for complete privacy the lodge has a deluxe treehouse suite that has an extensive living area and private deck that overlooks a small dam and provides excellent game viewing.
Children aged 12 years and over are welcome at Ulusaba Safari Lodge. Families with younger children may wish to book at Ulusaba Rock Lodge which is able to accommodate guests of all ages and has a kids club onsite.
