Description
Serian Nkorombo
Masai Mara National Reserve
What was once a mobile camp, Serian Nkorombo is now a small tented camp based on the East bank of the Mara River within the greater Masai Mara National Reserve. Owned by the Alex Walker Serian safari group there are several other camps in the portfolio.
Set almost level with the Mara River the camp has panoramic views and it is often the location of river crossings for the migrating Zebra and Wildebeest. This makes the camp a huge attraction for an armchair safari where one can sit at camp and watch the action.
The main guest area is somewhat small but has a very warm and homely feel and is just metres from the banks of the river. The outside area is the focal point of the camp and meals are often enjoyed on the deck where guests can enjoy all the wildlife that is around.
Safari Tents
The original safari style tents at Serian Nkorombo are simply furnished with beds, chairs and are powered with solar lights. There is a small wash stand in each tent and the en-suite bathroom has a bucket shower.
This camp is a perfect choice for those guests that are in Africa for the wildlife and the experience.
The river is often the site of thousands of animals crossing or milling about on the river banks. Rhino are also seen quite regularly in the area and as all guests have their own private guide, vehicle and spotter giving you flexibility and the ability to go when and wherever you like to find animals.
