Lower Zambezi National Park
Royal Zambezi lodge was designed and built by a family that has a long history in conservation and wildlife heritage in the Zambezi Valley. With the incredible mountains of the Zambezi Valley Escarpment as a backdrop the 200 hectare private concession lies within the Chiawa Game Management Area. The lodge has over 3 kilometres of private river frontage opposite the World Heritage Site of Mana Pools National Park.
The lodge has a distinctive style blending simplicity with incredible comfort within one of the most famous wildlife parks and benefits from fantastic animal sightings. Lions roar in the distance at night while the Hippo snort in the river shallows and during the day the area is home to abundant bird species. Un-fenced, the lodge is regularly visited by Elephant, Buffalo, Hippo, Lion and Leopard.
The main guest area has high thatched roofs with a spacious open area for the communal dining table, bar and expansive deck for drinks around the fire at sunset. Chairs and comfortable couches are the perfect location for social gatherings or reading a book. An infinity pool overlooks the river.
Royal Suites
Royal, Deluxe and a Presidential suite all have magnificent views and are luxurious havens after grueling days in the bush. The 8 Deluxe Suites rest under canvas and thatch with king size beds and a private plunge pool all coupled with beautiful luxury.
The Family suite consists of two Deluxe suites with a communal lounge area between them. The Family suite is closest to the main guest area and is a completely safe area for your children.
The 7 Presidential suites can also be used for a family to be all under one roof if required. These are the absolute best in luxury with copper baths, outdoor showers, private plunge pools and shaded day beds.These are also ideal for honeymoon couples.

Consider combining this with Ruckomechi, Nyamatusi Camp or Mpala Jena. Potato Bush Camp is a more affordable option for the Lower Zambezi.
